Logo Design Brief

Hi All,
We are looking for a modern, fresh, high-end and minimalist logo for a Tourist Company which we have recently started. 'Strait Experience' is a travel company based in the Torres Strait region of Far Northern Australia. The Business mainly caters to high-end travellers who are looking for a premium cultural experience.
This area is predominantly made up of islands and interconnected by turquoise blue waters. The region is unique and predominantly populated by an indigenous population called 'Torres Strait Islanders' who have a rich art, history and culture. Its important that prior to commencing any logo design work that you take the time to google image search both the 'Islands of the Torres Strait' and 'Torres Strait Culture'.
The logo should be a tribute to the region (hence why understanding the culture is important). It should include colours that align with the Torres Strait Islander Flag (attached), Dugong/Manatees and Turtles are also found in the area (image attached). The Letters of the name could also be integrated into the design (which is shown in some of the example logos). I have added some examples of logo which may be good, but these are not regional specific and do not consider the information above.
We are not looking for an overtly complex logo but one which says a lot without doing alot - one of the examples (the logo of the deer) is a good exmaple of minimalist design being completed simply but in a way which is very stylish.

• Shouldn't be cartoony or use copy and pasted images and icons which are easily available. Overall colour palette should be like a pastelle.
