Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a new martial arts academy named Forge X Training Group, LLC. The logo should be a black and white logo that would be easy and inexpensive to put on a business card, ball cap, T-shirt, etc. Our primary martial art is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, so we are a grappling art similar to wrestling and not a striking art such as kickboxing or taekwondo. As such a logo with flying kicks or similar striking techniques wouldn't really fit our school. I don't want to direct creativity too much because YOU are the artist, not me. However, one idea we played with was having the X superimposed upon a simple anvil. The X represents a person if you think of Leonardo da Vinci's vitruvian man. We are forging people, building strength, confidence, character, skill, respect, and of course the ability to defend oneself. The logo itself should embody these principles, hopefully.
