Logo Design Brief

I want it to be simple and modern. I envision some blocks stacked to some sort with something "shifted" that maybe abstractly resemble some segments of a spine. Text should be simple and modern Verizon or Nike like. No more than 3 colors. Ideally a white, gray, and bluish purple. Something that will easily be recognized in black and white as well. Also something that the logo can be used in several ways. With the name without it. Symbol on the side or top or name within.
