Logo Design Brief

We need a cool logo for Site Reliability Engineering. We want to give out laptop stickers or badges for the colleagues who have recently certified in the SRE role as a way of appreciation and recognition.
SRE is a software-oriented approach to operations, dealing with the reliability / availability of applications and services - mostly in the Cloud but also in a legacy datacenter. SREs are the perfect blend (think Ying & Yang) of software engineers and system administrators. They deal with the launch of new applications (think: NASA Mission). They deal with Incident response when applications have problems (think: fire department, emergency response, earth quake). SRE provides the balance across Velocity, Quality and Efficiency. The SRE saying is “Hope is not a strategy”. Trust is a key element.

I am adding a logo that Google uses for their SREs. I am also adding some badges from launches (NASA, Space-X) and emergency response units. The desired badge would take such a theme and apply it to the context of SRE and IT.

Must have

• A badge that people are proud to show as stickers on their laptop. It should convey the importance of the SRE role towards maintaining the reliability of mission critical systems. Please take a look at the samples provided in this brief to get a sense what I am looking for: I am adding a logo that Google uses for their SREs. I am also adding some badges from launches (NASA, Space-X) and emergency response units. The desired badge would take such a theme and apply it to the context of SRE and IT.

• The name "IBM" on the sticker, as this is not allowed from a branding perspective
