Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for a new company which scans industrial sites and provides a online 3D model for them to remotely view their site, to enable remote collaboration (colleagues, contractors, inspections). The types of sites to be scanned include:- power stations, refineries, factories, chemical plant, process plants). The logo should have the text "Digital Industries" and the logo graphic must somehow include the effect of 3D scanning... for example I was thinking of piping or boilers or structures, with a transition from real to 3D-model version, see sample images for what I mean. Other ideas are welcome.

(p.s. - I am removing the requirement to include a delta shape; it was obviously too difficult to manage. It is much more important to concentrate on the 3D-scan of a industrial equipment/site, this is the main focus of the logo. If you have the delta you can still continue to devleop it but it is not essential).
