Logo Design Brief

We currently have 3 Empresso Coffeehouse locations and now we are going to open a coffee roastery. I'm looking for an image/logo that would look good in red and/or black and white for multi-use. I recently found a cool looking image/logo on BrandCrowd.com. Ill upload that file but want to see if someone can make it look like a "coffee bean" & "E" on fire. Our coffeehouse locations use the "kabel" font in adobe illustator.
