Logo Design Brief

"Old Forge Farm" Creations is a family owned business run at our historic Greek Revival home and old dairy farm at the site of a Revolutionary War era forge. We work with local hardwoods harvested from our property and milled at our own saw mill, as well as concrete, and antiques. We create a variety of home furnishings, furniture, and tools. Our aesthetic is both rustic and refined. We are very much interested in history and indebted to it, but want to bring a new twist to it rather than replicating it literally. I envision the use of a serif font, and think the choice of font will be critical but beyond that don't have a particular font chosen. We are looking for a general logo that can be used on everything from product stamps to business cards and the website to signage. It would be great it it could work with and without the word "Creations". We have an emphasis on quality.

Must have

• The name Old Forge Farm must be prominent
  Serif Font

Nice to have

• possibly incorporate a coat of arms feel, possibly in a circle rather than a shield, play with some symbols around trees/wood, metal (the old forge), and concrete..., maybe some tools and/or paint brush we are not envisioning a lot of color however we are open. In any case the logo should definitely work in black and white. We'd like to see it feel masculine.
