Logo Design Brief

Thank you everyone so far for your efforts on this. I know maybe its not an easy one. I have extended the submissions deadline. I have a couple designs i'm considering. I like them, but I don't love them. And i'd love to love my new logo. Think Stussy meets urban music.

There have been a lot of designers who clearly have not read the brief upon submission. Please do not waste your and my time. Read the brief and do your magic =) Thanks all designers and wishing you great inspiration.

Hello world. Kindly read the brief carefully. Bonafide Recordings is something I started back in 2010. Its a soulful Drum n Bass label. I am very happy with the wording Bonafide Recordings and that will not change. What i am not happy about 100% and never have been is the word mark that i have used along with the logo. So a "thumbs up b" idea which i have attached here also. I am releasing more and more music on the label and would like to take it to the next level. So I will be designing some merchandise like T-shirts, Baseball Caps etc. What I am sort of looking for his a supportive element that can function on its own. So for example not be combined with the word Bonafide Recordings. So for example T-Shirts, caps etc you can see from my examples attached how i might like to use these together. Preferably id like a logomark that works in 1 color, that would be great. So white, black, dark grey etc. Simple, stylish is what i like.

The attached old "thumb" idea is an old idea so it is not a must you use this but more as a base to design something new and fresh from here perhaps. The actual word Bona fide means: genuine; real, authentic, in good faith. So i would like the new logomark / symbol to reflect this ideology in some shape or form. But creativity is welcome, so do not limit yourself. I am open and welcome new ideas! I am not looking for generic stuff, so please please please spend some quality time on this. I'm a designer myself so i have a keen eye for detail and only want the very best. I however am looking for fresh ideas for this, an outside perspective if you will, which is why i chose to get someone to design for this.

It is important the style of what is created however does sit well with the word Bonafide. So im looking for clean strokes, nothing messy or too grundge.

The target group for this is obviously Drum n Bass music lovers and younger people. Stussy for example is one product i like. If you would like to listen to my music you can check it here. My latest EP.

I have also attached the Bonafide word logo if it is of help. Again i would like this new symbol to be able to work on its own. If you find a way to pair it with the existing Bonafide Recordings then that idea is welcome.

Requirements

Must have

• slick logo mark, 100% original. Logo must work in greyscale color scheme, NO RED COLOR. I am getting versions of designs with red.
  Please feel free to use your own creativity and come up with something completely new also. So its not a must you do this B-Thumb idea either. Im open to all ideas.

Nice to have

• Positive, authentic, Soul-ish, minimal, slick, one or 2 colors. Urban style.

Should not have

• must not be generic and 100% original artwork. Please DO NOT include records, turntables, music speakers, music notes into the design. No corny clip art please!
