Book Cover Design Brief

This is the sequel to a book published 40 years ago that serves as the base benchmark for progress in the field of environmental management in Queensland. The book describes the outcomes of long-term field programs in environmental management across the large State of Queensland in Australia. No book of this type has been published in Australia previously. The book will be published by Kindle Direct Publishing, with limp cover.

Requirements

Must have

• Colour front cover, back cover and spine sized according to the requirements of Kindle Direct Publishing 8.5" X 11" (215.9mm X 279.4 mm) template with 0.68" spine width (17.16mm) (spine width based on current estimation of page number) - as per .jpeg files submitted. Some amendments have been necessary based on excellent designs so far submitted (see two new files).
  Designs to date have been excellent and have led to a title change that can either readily be changed on the design finally chosen or considered by those designers still to submit.

Nice to have

• A professional appearance, in keeping with the semi-technical nature of the narrative. A spine as distinctive as the first edition of Exploration North (see attached file). The text on the back cover may need minor editing, probably at the time that endorsements are added (after first proof copy).
