Logo Design Brief

Our service came into existence about 18 months ago when the organisation we all worked for decided to make most of their face to face, regional workers redundant (State wide). In our local area the team consisted of five women who did not want to break the relationships they had with their client base. We discussed our options and decided to become Sole Traders but work together collaboratively, thereby providing each with the support needed. We have since continued to meet for Team meetings and have created our own shared resources (service documents, policies and procedures, educational resources). We work mainly with our own client base however we also provide support to each other so that we can have holidays / time off. We are open to referrals through the NDIS however currently we are expanding slowly due to work load capacity limitations.

As mentioned we were previously all Recovery Support Workers with Cert 1v Mental Health. This means that we support people who have a significant psychosocial functional impairment due to a serious mental illness. We are non clinical workers which means we have the time to build relationships (and thus trust) and assist people on their recovery journey. The recovery journey is very flexible as it is always driven by the individual and as the support worker we are present to aid in/support this journey. This may mean via education, mentoring, advocacy (especially with Clinical Services) and especially relationships.

We are seeking a logo. We have agreed on the colours representing the Far South Coast of NSW (the sapphire coloured water, the burnt red clay dirt, the ocean / sand meets the hills). Strong colours that are found in our local area. These colours also have meaning to local Aboriginal people and this was important to the team.

Target Market(s)

Our client base are individuals with a significant Psychosocial disability, as such they have an National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) package. We also need to differentiate our services from other disability services in that we are the only Psychosocial workers in our area.

• possibly 5 linked hands in a circle representing the five women who started the business. The business name could be the frame.
