Logo Design Brief

Our company is called "Reenactor Resale". We need a unique logo design for a new specialized online marketplace that connects living history reenactors with each other, for the purpose of exchanging goods and services. This will be a new, singular "clearinghouse" for the hobby of historical reenacting, living history portrayals, historical productions, etc. Currently, people in these hobbies must wade through a plethora of unlinked, unsearchable, and unhelpful websites and offline marketplaces to sell their unique or specialized items...or to buy them. Right now, the way these sales and exchanges take place is most often through "word-of-mouth", which doesn't have a global reach at all! We would like to see designs that use muted "historical" colors (in other words, no bright colors), but no color is "off limits". The challenge for your final design will be to convey "sales" and "people connecting with each other" with "history". [Think history from Middle Ages through 1950's.]

• designs that are as "generic" as possible in regards to historical periods. see "should not haves" for more info

Should not have

• confederate flags or any iconology that would be considered questionable.
  
  No designs that focus on one historical period (i.e. only American Civil War period or "Renaissance Fair"/Middle Ages time period).
