Logo Design Brief

I need a new logo for my personal real estate business in my own name. I sell real estate on beautiful Vancouver Island where we enjoy a unique West Coast lifestyle in Canada (our version of Hawaii, snow only lasts 2-3 weeks on average). I am looking for a savvy logo that will stick in the consumers mind.

Designers should look up Nanaimo, British Columbia (my primary area of operation) and explore the surrounding area to take cues of the topography. We enjoy a close to nature lifestyle all while having the modern amenities of medium sized cities on Vancouver Island. We have many unique cedar/pine trees, the georgia strait (ocean), and mountains as our back drop. We enjoy our intimacy of nature and active lifestyle blended with modern amenities and infrastructure.

I am looking for the primary use of a deeper blue (between royal and navy) with platinum and/or metallics/ grays. Use of Green or other complimentary colour would be considered. Id also like to see designers ideas and even several colour schemes as I will build a branding package off of the logo and colour scheme.

Use of elements such as: west coast contemporary roof peaks, mountains, water, or trees are all optional elements I would consider part of the logo. I like the idea of it being contained in a circular medallion (but not a requirement) Ideally I could have a few formats/colours of the logo that work together seamlessly.

1. The largest font should have my name. Evan Schroeder
2. Descriptive Font should say "Real Estate Services"
3. Additional font should say "Marketing & Agency" or "Marketing | Agency" or interpret your own version.

It should all flow together nicely and with a modern flair. This is open to designer interpretation.

All font names (and how they can be downlaoded if outside of windows package) should be provided as further branding will likely be built around these fonts.

Successful designer would have an opportunity to develop my business card, animated video logo, and provide several stationary and letterhead styles to compliment the brand package.

  Initials ES worked into an emblem. (Mountain shape a bonus but not required, design matters more)
  Use of colours scheme to create interest in the design

Nice to have

• I HAVE DECIDED NO LONGER TO INCORPORATE WEST COAST TREES.
  
  USE OF GREY INSIDE THE COLOUR SCHEME IS GOOD.

Should not have

• cartoony, or too loose of a style. Should be professional, but sophisticated and lend to the theme of the region.
