Logo Design Brief
I need a logo design for a new company called livingsystems.
The name livingsystems was pulled from the writings of Paolo Soleri, who coined the concept of Arcology, which combines architecture and ecology. livingsystems will strive to continue the materialization of Soleri's concepts by applying them to sustainable urban alternative developments.
“Arcology is capable of demonstrating a positive response to the many problems of urban civilization, those of population, pollution, energy and natural resource depletion, food scarcity, and quality of life. The city structure must contract, or miniaturize, in order to support the complex activities that sustain human culture and give it new perception and renewed trust in society and its future. A central tenet of arcology is that the city is the necessary instrument for the evolution of humankind”.
-Paolo Soleri, Earth’s Answer, 1977
Livingsystems (now, just myself, but will soon grow to a collective of architects, engineers, builders, scientists, artists, and beyond) will provide design and construction services for urban land developers in densely populated cities. As an integrated design/build firm, services will include design, construction management, specification writing, sustainability consulting, energy modeling, estimating/purchasing, etc.
The final logo design needs to be simple, modern and iconic.
