T-shirt Design Brief

Have you ever wondered why some people seem to have a hard time smiling at others? We want to make a t-shirt design that gives them permission to smile! The slogan for the t-shirt shall be: "It's OK to smile at people you don't know". The design shall be made of these words. It should be a design that is easy to read at a glance and can go on a black t-shirt or a white one. The design will also be placed on other swag, such as black or white mugs, tote bags, phone cases, and computer cases. The printed size on the t-shirt will be maximum 12 inches wide by 16 inches tall, though 10 inches wide might make it more neatly centred on a t-shirt. The feel of the design should be kind of hipster and somewhat vintage, and if the lettering looks "distressed" that's cool too. The design should be one that triggers feelings of positivity and empowerment in the onlooker. The design can have some degree of ornamentation, but should not overdo it and should not look cluttered.

Requirements

Must have

• The words in the design must be easily readable on a t-shirt from a distance so that all can see the positive message without having to come to close to the wearer to make out what it says. The design should be wearable by both men and women.

Nice to have

• Hipster-ish and somewhat vintage feel, but not extremely so. If the lettering looks "distressed", that's cool too.

Should not have

• Extra pictures, icons or elements that create a feeling of clutter. The design should not look cartooney or
