Logo Design Brief

We are a new company that has just started. We are looking for a logo that catches the eye and could maybe incorporate what we do, which blinds (rollers, verticals and venetians) and screens (flyscreens, screen doors). If possible, I'd like to try and tie it in with our existing parent company logo for EVEX GROUP PTY LTD (Photo attached). Main thing is I'd like to use the same colour scheme, or maybe just with a bit of a variation in the blue so they differentiate just that little bit.
