It is also about how to have problem-solving conferences around difficult issues using techniques from family therapy. Parent involvement is a key ingredient for student success, but most educators have no training in holding meetings with parents. This book fills that gap.

- I have several books coming up. I'd like something that could be carried over to the new ones without too many changes. They won't all be about education. I am a psychologist so most of my writings will cover subjects related to emotional intelligence.
Nice to have
- Something dignified that will pop out for those in the schools. I like the combination of a royal blue background with white and gold (not yellow) lettering.
Should not have
- I'd like it to be easy to read. Not too messy or too much stuff on the page.
