Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for a new synthetic DNA/Synthetic biology company called Elegen that is developing a suite of new technologies to unlock the synthetic biology revolution. This will enable unparalleled advances in the life sciences and healthcare by letting scientists engineer biology from the ground up. Our technology is a dramatic improvement over existing technologies in its field and will be significantly faster and less expensive. The company is high-tech, but the logo should promote strength, simplicity and elegance in its design. A couple of our technologies involve "inverting" or "flipping" the normal way of doing things yielding elegant and novel approaches. We build DNA molecules on clear beads half the size of a human hair; we use microfluidics to move these beads around through a network of channels.
