Logo Design Brief

Hello - we're a 2yr old law firm in need of some branding help, including a logo. We want to incorporate some colors into it: white, a darker blue (navy-ish), and potentially a deep purple (merlot?). [UPDATE: I've seen several designs that include deep purple and I think I hate it. We may just need to stick with a darker blue and white.] I will upload a picture of my business card for an idea of our style. We like sleek, modern and professional. I don't want anything too busy, but it needs to stand out and look original.

I've seen a lot of designs that include graphics with the initials. I'd like to see a logo with a graphic without ST in it.
