Book Cover Design Brief

General information:

I need an eBook cover (planned release via Amazon and Feiyr) and subsequently also a paperback cover (planned release via Feiyr), which looks appealing even in black and white and small format and reflects the following novel content.

The text consists of about 480 standard pages - how many pages the paperback will have in the end, I cannot say at the moment. Thus the cover should be designed in a way that the thickness of the spine can be adjusted by me if necessary. Please also take necessary crop margins into account with regard to the paperback cover.

General information about the content:

The first core theme of the story is a love triangle: two women fighting for the same man - on the one hand his great love (= Lea, beautiful, blue eyes and long blond hair) and on the other hand the woman with whom he has built a life for himself and who has always been there for him (= Anna, brown, shoulder-length hair, green eyes).

The second core theme concerns the themes of self-discovery and guilt: the protagonist Lea has lost her memories and, in the course of the novel, sets out on a search for her own identity, discovering that she is to blame for her brother's death and that her mother has subsequently committed suicide. Her urge for freedom, based on the very events of her youth, is the reason why she has left her great love Christopher.

Blurb:

When thirty-one year old Lea wakes up in hospital after a serious car accident, she finds herself in a nightmare come true. Her memories of the last thirteen years of her life have disappeared. But that is not all. Her father doesn't want to have anything to do with her for some unknown reason. Shortly afterwards she has to find out that her mother and her younger brother died years ago. A nerve-racking search for her own past and identity begins.

When Lea finally finds out that she has married her great love Christopher and has a daughter with him, she experiences another bitter setback. Christopher pushes her away and demands a divorce. Apparently she left him and their daughter three years ago and turned her back on her hometown Vienna. Lea cannot believe it at first. What kind of person abandons his own child? Tormented by feelings of guilt and remorse, she is determined to win back the love of her life and her daughter – at any price.

Anna, however, is truly happy for the first time of her life. She is in a relationship with the man of her dreams, Christopher, whom she was in love with before she knew what love meant and whose lovely daughter she is devotedly caring for. All that is missing for her perfect happiness is a child together. The life of her dreams seems within reach. But all this changes abruptly when Lea, Christopher's lost and beautiful wife, unexpectedly appears on the scene.

The novel is written in German language. Since this is my first publication, the cover should show the book title in the foreground, the author's name should be at the bottom of the cover and a little bit smaller. Format of the eBook cover: JPEG/JPG, 16:10 (ratio height to width), at least 3,000 pixels.

I don't have concrete ideas how the cover will look like at the end – in this regard I hope for your creativity.
