Logo Design Brief

I need a logo for my new company. The product is a human resources software that will be marketed specifically to public safety agencies (i.e. Police, Fire, EMS). The name of the software is: Score. Tagline:
"Empowered Human & Organization Performance for Mission Critical Agencies".

Because I am selling to Police and Fire chiefs, the logo needs to relay a sense of being official and significant, but still a software company. There will be an Artificial Intelligence feature built in.

Thought 1: I was thinking of incorporating an outline of a badge/patch with a checkmark inside or somehow incorporated into the outline.
I attached a file with the shapes of two prominent shapes of a police/fire patch.

Thought 2: A certain portion of the employee's evaluation will include a sliding scale (1-10 with 1 being a lesser score and 10 being best). Wondering if there is a cool way to make a logo from a sliding scale type image?

The same Score was chosen because it insinuates that the organization has "Scored" by using a quality product. The employee receives a Score Report that tells them about their performance. If they get a good review, they "Scored". The system generates awards which also signifies the employee has "scored".

• I would like Score to be spelled out normally, then have a logo separate. Like many tech company logos now.

Nice to have

• Dark Navy Blue (Police), "Fire Engine" Red and gold (as seen on a police/firefighter's badge) could be the base colors.
