Using a music note in the logo is probably not a good idea for us as we will be providing functionality for movies and TV, and maybe books afterwords. So the concepts of creating lists, sharing lists, having fun discovering and commenting on other people's lists are the most important.

In the project brief I have added the AI file for the star that was used in our original logo. You may want to use it as is or to make slight variations.

I have extended the project deadline to February 24. Here is some additional general guidelines:

- I'd rather not have the icon represent the initials M and J. I would rather the icon represent the nature of the business: fans creating lists of their favorite music and movies and discovering new music and movies by viewing other people's lists. As I mentioned before, the icon should not be a musical symbol since the app will support music, movies, TV and books.

- I attached an icon of a star, which you can use to make variations if you wish. You can use it as is or you can modify to incorporate the idea of lists and/or discovery. It is not required that you use the star, as long as you adhere to the guidelines above.

- For the icon color, I am leaning to orange or red. In the project brief, I have attached a file contain color swatches - I like the middle orange color and the red to the far right.

- I have also found some fonts that I like. I have listed them below. If you do want to use one of these as an example, certainly you do not have to buy the font, but just create a sample. The two treatments I prefer are either the words Moxie and Jam in different weights or in different colors. If you choose different colors, I think it would be best for " Moxie" to be in black and "Jam" in the color of the icon. Here is the list of fonts to consider:
