Logo Design Brief

We have a need to create a new logo / mascot for a school in the United States. The name of the school is Perkins Elementary and is located in Iowa, US. The school mascot is a Penguin. There is a tradition in the US where each school has a mascot. We don't know exactly how Perkins Elementary ended up choosing a Penguin as a mascot. The problem is that the mascot the school is currently using is quite outdated. You can see current school logo on the website as well as in the attachments. Some points to consider while designing the new logo
* The new school logo will still be a penguin (but a different penguin that you will design)
* The new penguin should have a personality
* It will represent the school's identity
* The new logo should look modern
* Even though the logo is for an elementary school, it will need to appeal to everybody
* It will be used on various school gears such as hats, t-shirts and sweatshirts. It should be appealing to adults (i.e. parents) as well as the kids and teenagers (siblings) - this point is really IMPORTANT
* New logo does NOT have color restrictions
* do not use the current Penguin in your design. We want to have a new Penguin.
