Web Design Brief

Our charities can build their own event landing page to promote their silent auction fundraising event. We need a top menu, hero image with event title and desc, a register/login area, up to 4 content blocks and an auction listing of items in a grid dynamically created from their catalog. Currently we have this laid out in 100% width layers or stacks. It needs to be mobile friendly first. Examples include msdemo.cbo.io and roeper.cbo.io and tomstest.cbo.io We need to allow people to design nice sites instead of MySpace pages that look terrible.

Target Market(s)

Soccer moms and volunteers who feel like rockstars when they learn how to use facebook or pinterest. Not super savvy so less is more. Not overwhelming. Clean with whitespace and functional is what they want

Requirements
Must have
  • Nothing so tightly designed that it would look terrible if an organization loaded their own photos. This means the hero image could be landscape or portrait. When in doubt, keep it clean and simple. A one or two color palette
Nice to have
  • A pop up concept for someone to log in when they choose to bid on an item in the preview.
Should not have
  • Decorative fonts. Too many colors.
