Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for a line of kids home furnishings. The brand is sold alongside brands and logos like Hello Kitty. ( PLS DO NOT PUT HELLO KITTY IN THE LOGO! )
We need two versions,
1- One for mainly Boys ages 0-12 years old
2 - One for Teens Boys and Girls ages 13-18 years old
The Teenager logo could be an evolution of the younger version.
See example enclosed. Please be creative !
We would like it to feel Canadian.
- Maple Leaf
-Use the color red somewhere in the Logo
-NO BLACK
-Think Purity, Mountains, Lakes, Trees, Nature
-Polar Bear as opposed to a stuffed bear toy
