Simplifying the MAZE
This short workshop is designed as a refresher for those surgeons who have attended a full Cox-MAZE training course, and wish to gain an update on the latest thinking with regards to the surgical treatment of Atrial Fibrillation.
We will start with an overview of the disease burden, talk to the foundation clinical evidence available, and cover the various lesion sets used by surgeons – with a view to simplifying the procedure. The workshop will also explain the technology used, how to treat the Left Atrial Appendage, the best ways to work with your EP colleagues, and involve a short hands-on session to familiarize you with the tools available to perform the Cox-MAZE procedure.
