Logo Design Brief
I have a small French translation business based in Sydney, called francelations.
Francelations specialises in French-English and English-French translation. I need to refresh, modernise and professionalise my brand.
My business is translating only French.
Most clients are French people wanting to migrate to Australia, or migration agents who help people process their visa applications. They all want one thing: a translation that has the 'rubber stamp' of a NAATI-accredited translator such as francelations, (NAATI is the Australian Authority that accredits translators).
The name francelations is (obviously!) a made up word, comprising 'France' and '...lations', which sounds like 'translations' when you say it in English.
For information, I have attached my current logo and stationery. It is dated and rather amateurish looking. I want the new logo to look modern, crisp, clean, professional and confident.

Requirements
Must have
- Somewhere in the logo there must be a colour splash of blue/white/red (French flag). Also some grey (which I can't select in the colours defined below) This can be very simple, see: http://www.martiniquetourisme.com/var/shop_site/storage/images/media/images/liens/maison_de_la_france/29934-1-fre-FR/maison_de_la_france_image_taille_normale_hotel.jpg
The logo must be simple, clean, modern and professional looking. I perceive my current logo (see files) as being rather amateurish and dated.
Nice to have
- My current logo (see files attached) has the idea of the NAATI rubber stamp. While this is good, but I'd like to see some other ideas without this.
Should not have
- Definitely no Eiffel Towers please - French people have seen enough of these!
