Logo Design Brief

I’m looking to launch my own Real Estate Team Brand that is unique from the flood of other agents in my market. They primarily use Red, Black and shades of Blue for their logos. I would like to do something that stands out. (It also should not clash with my broker brand, which is red and black)

It has got to look good on a 2 foot by 3 foot sign, as well as a business card, social media page and letterhead.

I would like the logo to incorporate the dog, with a statement towards realty as well - a house, a key, etc. (maybe a key on his collar instead of a bone?) I would like to avoid an image that looks like I am selling dog houses :D

The dog needs to be in my dogs likeness (photos included). He is a mutt, but the key features are his block head, small, floppy ears, and that crimpy, fluffy hair around his head and ears. He is a fluff!

I like simple, modern, clean. Not looking for something fancy (like cursive) or pretentious. Ideally something that will look good in front of a $200k house, or a million dollar house. I am thinking an outline? Maybe a solid image that's not too detailed? I would like it to capture his blocky head and floppy ears.

I have included pictures of him, as well as some logo design styles that I found on your site. The logo designs I liked appealed to me because they are very simple. I like the color-block style.

I’m presently working with a brand (Purple Acorn) whose logo gets a lot of recognition around here, due to its simple design. That is what I am going for.

Requirements

Must have

• Dog must be on the logo. I want the dog to look like my dog - not a polka-dot dog or something generic
• Design needs to focus on the DOG, not the words. The Dog will be branded to items without the wording, so it must look good by itself.

Should not have

• Not childish, hokey looking, not cartoony. It needs to be clean and slim. Please refer to the inspiration and photos I have provided
