Logo Design Brief
I am a born Bosnian but lived in Australia for the past 17 years. I have now returned to my city of birth, Sarajevo, with my girlfriend to open the first official CrossFit box in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Because of the relatively recent war in Bosnia, one has to be very careful when deciding on logos, symbols or any other marketing product as they can easily be politically or religiously manipulated. For that reason, we have decided to use a caricature of Vučko, the much-loved mascot of the 1984 Winter Olympic Games in Sarajevo, in our logo.
Our vision for the logo is for a Vučko lookalike to be doing some form of CrossFit activity, for example a heavy overhead squat or working with a kettlebell. Although we would like to keep Vučko's overall look so that people of Sarajevo and the entire region can recognise him, we would like him to be much stronger and healthier-looking than in his original form (see images attached). The logo should not be aggressive, but should inspire confidence and invoke a feeling of pride amongst the population that already loves him. Importantly, Vučko must have his recognisable and much loved smile but that smile should make him look cheeky, like he is challenging you to beat him. The logo should make you want to start training CrossFit so that you can be like Vučko.
Please note, due to unclear intellectual property laws in Bosnia, the design should not be a copy of Vučko, but rather a caricature of a lookalike. It also does not need to be in 2D as the original version, but can be a more active, 3D version.
I am currently having problems uploading images of the original Vučko for reference, but you can view a few examples at:

I have received a couple of designs which are based around the actual 2D Vucko image. What I envision is a more alive modified version. In other words, my idea is a 3D image of a muscly wolf doing a CrossFit activity (eg. Overhead squat, kettlebell swing or similar) but the wolf needs to have some of the key Vucko characteristics like his big head, smile and the long snout. Hope this helps...
