Tattoo Design Brief

I am getting my first tattoo on the inside of my upper arm. I have been waiting to have an idea that has personal meaning as this phrase came to light during Athlete Eliud Kipchoge’s recent marathon barrier breaking run of 1:59. It captures my competitive nature and as a runner now 50 I continue to breaks my own records. I would like the words ‘Beyond the Limits’ on my arm but thinking how I can present them in a timeless font and as part of a design that perhaps has them amazing through a barrier of some descript that would work well as a black/grey tattoo with perhaps one very small part as colour e.g. one brick. I work in an office and would not want the tattoo to be too large so something discreet and impactful which captures the words.

• Not just a design for running. Words need to be the main focus part of the design and therefore clear to read.
