Logo Design Brief
Our company is a social impact real estate development and investment firm, focused on creating economic empowerment for communities where we build our projects. We are preparing to launch a number of multi-media products to share our approach to urban development and real estate entrepreneurship with the world, including webinars, an online course, a book, and a podcast. These materials will primarily be aimed at small real estate investors and people who want to get started investing, who want to learn how to invest in their communities to make both an income and an impact. We need a logo that appeals to our target audience, but don't want to look anything like other real estate gurus/experts in the marketplace. We want to feel more like something you would see/hear on a CNN documentary or NPR podcast cover, and not like the late TV real estate gurus, because our approach is not get-rich-quick. It's mindfulness made manifest in the built environment. Adjectives to describe the feel we are looking for include: gritty optimism, community-minded, and sophisticated, and should help enforce the idea of our audience as citizens of a tribe of purpose-driven real estate entrepreneurs wanting to make their communities better. The colors of matte gold, charcoal, and scarlet red are desirable but not required. Our spirit animal is Anthony Bourdain- we want to do for real estate what Bourdain did for food- pull it away from commoditization and into a bigger conversation about place as a metaphor for the human condition.
Target Market(s)
Educated mid career professionals who are unsatisfied with their current job/income situation and want to break free of the 9-5 hamster wheel by building a portfolio of real estate assets, but do so in a socially responsible manner as a good community partner. Age 30-60, 55% female.

Requirements
Must have
- The winning design will have the words "Citizen Impact" more prominent than "Josh Fuhrer."
- The ability to use it as a standalone image, as well as over photography, like this:
- Please provide versions with both "Josh Fuhrer | Citizen Impact" and simply "Citizen Impact"
Nice to have
- This is NOT a logo for our real estate business- this is a logo for our edutainment division (books, podcast, courses, etc), so it should appeal to average people and be a *little* more fun and engaging than a graphic aimed at corporate audiences. Again, think of this as a media logo, not a real estate or finance logo.
- As a concept, a curved horizon line might be nice, to convey a sense of optimism, like a sunrise coming over the curvature of the Earth.
Should not have
- Images of money, wealth, boats, palm trees, beaches, or other imagery similar to that of sleazy real estate gurus. No graphics of houses or buildings.
