Poster Design Brief

I’m looking for a 24 by 36 inch movie poster for my screenplay “The Man from the Meadow.” The purpose of the poster is to capture the essence of the screenplay for social media and sales. To provide you with a background on the screenplay I’ve included the following files:

- Logline and Synopsis
- Key character descriptions
- Extracts form the screen play (the full screenplay is available with a signed NDA)
- Unregistered photos reflecting the appearance of the key characters
- Reference photo for an 19th century frontier hunter in Western Pennsylvania, USA
- Layout Concept PDF for the poster (very high level)

I’m not sure how you will approach this project. I believe the scene where Aaron Jones walks into the 20th century (provided) should be central to the design of the poster and should contain the meadow, a grove of trees and the time travel portal with Aaron crouching near the time-travel portal. The time travel portal is non-descript. Viewing the portal from Aaron Jones’s perspective it would appear to be an open area in the grove. The integration between the meadow and the time-travel portal is seamless. Visualize standing in front of a large, open well-lit, car garage in a shady grove of trees.

Another element that should show two ships from the 1830’s time-frame engaging each other in battle. One will be a pirate ship. The other a well-armed frigate named the “Amara” if space and perspective provides.

A final element I’m interested in is showing Sara’s transition from a 21th century woman to the “Black Duchess” of the 19th century (see description of Sara as the Black Duchess in the screenplay extracts). I see a picture of her in the upper left corner in contemporary 21st century dress and perhaps her as the Black Duchess is the lower right of the poster near the ships engaging. See the “Layout Concept” PDF for my cut at a provisional poster layout.

As far as portraying the characters, use the unregistered images as a reference for your selection of images for the characters. The character descriptions will also help you in your image selection.

Please include the following text in the poster:
- Title (of course)
- “Based on an original screenplay by Matthew Pundzak” (somewhere on the poster)

And the following contact information and copyright notification.:

mapundzak@gmail.com | 1+703-618-9513
The Man from the Meadow is protected by U.S. Law and International Copyright Agreements

Ill need the final product in PDF format and a format that can be published by a professional print shop

Good Luck,

Matt Pundzak
