Logo Design Brief

Field of Love is a luxe womenswear sustainable clothing brand. Field of Love produces timeless and elegant garments that are ethically manufactured in Australia using only natural fibre, sustainable fabrics.

Timeless designs drawing on vintage style are manufactured to the highest quality. Inspiration is drawn from nature- colour, shape and the feeling of being in the natural environment. Even though I classify the clothing I design as lounge wear, the pieces don't need to be worn only behind closed doors.

Comfort is key to Field of Love garments, I attempt to solve the problem of what to wear when you don't feel like wearing anything at all. Yet feeling fantastic in a garment goes hand in hand with looking great. Embracing the femininity, exquisite cuts and beautiful detailing of vintage clothing ensures a high quality, well-fitting and classic piece.

Simplicity and minimalism are also important factors that I attempt to bring to my label. I don't use zippers or plastic buttons, instead utilising plackets, rouleau and bias cuts. Reducing my impact on the environment and embracing sustainable and slow fashion principles is a significant concern to me as a participant in the fashion industry. We do not mass produce and only maintain limited stock levels to avoid waste and overproduction of designs. Sustainability and maintaining a low environmental impact are at the heart of the business model.

Field of Love has a mid to high end price point with a target market ranging 24-48 years old. Creative professionals who are not primarily trend driven, have an awareness of the value of spending a little more on a timeless high-quality garment, are conscious of their footprint on the environment and are supporters of sustainability, minimalism and slow fashion.

My desire is to create a purely on-line business. I want to establish a strong on-line presence through social media, primarily Instagram, and develop a connection with my customers that I believe is harder to maintain when wholesaling. Avoiding mass manufacturing, reducing freight movements, impact upon the environment, packaging and wastage is extremely important to my label.
