Logo Design Brief

We need a product logo designed for a company based in Toronto called WOWpops!

A WOWpop! is a cake pop created using mold-shaping technology to instantly turn delicious cake, buttercream and chocolate into fun caricatures of sports heroes, action heroes, movie/tv characters, musicians, etc., We can even create customized WOWpops! to look like your favourite person! Even to look like you!

WOWpops! are a great dessert treat for wedding guests (caricatures of the bride/groom), for birthday parties, work functions, charity events, Christmas/Halloween/Easter parties, divorce parties, sports teams, etc.. WOWpops! are a perfect addition to wherever there are people having fun!

For our logo we want to create something that has the potential to be an instantly recognizable symbol regardless of country, culture, language, etc.. A symbol that grows even faster than our business grows. We want a symbol that instantly means innovative and fun, regardless of age or background.

We would like submitters to be open to the idea of using Pop Art (60’s comic book styled) as a base theme, with innovative, out of the box thinking incorporated and shown by intertwining the classic Pop Art with Innovative Fun Marketing!

What do we mean by the term “Innovative Fun Marketing”? Simply put, if the logo is cool enough for it to become a hit on Instagram then it fully meets all criteria of Innovative Fun Marketing.

We have had some fun thinking of our own ideas; such as the incorporation of current technology into the Pop Art, such as an embedded QR code. Or what about using colours that look different to different people (like those viral pics where some people swear they see one colour, others see another colour)? Or hidden messages or symbols embedded into the art itself? We love the idea of someone using the positive space to convey one message and the negative space to convey another message. We love the use of onomatopoeia. Or any form of perspective type art (anagrams, palindrome, ambigram, emordnilap, shadow art, etc.. )

The above are our ideas, and we freely give them to any bidder of this work who wishes to use them. However, we are certain there are many more ideas from the collective Design Crowd that we have not thought of. We will be open to any submission that meets the criteria stated above for Innovative Fun Marketing. Cool enough to make it a hit on Instagram
