Logo Design Brief

We are needing a logo designed for our new Vanderbilt Medical Center research center = Vanderbilt Center for Immunobiology (VCI). We want to put this logo on flyers for newsletters, research seminars, and our website to be recognized throughout Vanderbilt's campus.
Our research focuses on human immune diseases and trying to integrate genetics as a way to drive innovation. Think cells and and the body.

Attached is the current logo we have been using but we would appreciate more ideas of imaging and possibly colors. Thank you!
