Logo Design Brief

Improve logo for my Dads clay target shooting club and keep the main elements of his old logo (1st pic attached) e.g. rural area with trees/sky to represent the Oakdale NSW AUSTRALIA area, man & woman shooting a target, and club name) I know it;s a lot but see how you go. Would be good to turn this into a & 'crest'; (example attached) which would look nice printed on shirts and used for membership cards, website, facebook, etc. Who's up for the challenge!! Feel free to ask me any questions at all!
