We are looking for a logo to use throughout a new community in Richmond, VA, USA. The project is a new, mixed-income development which is providing a community to transition people from existing public housing into a more diverse, mixed-income community. The neighborhood will have two small apartment buildings, rental townhomes/stacked flats, and home ownership single family and townhomes. There is also a Neighborhood Center which will serve as the leasing office and site of our Community Life activities. There are 3 parks throughout the neighborhood and it resides in the Church Hill North neighborhood of Richmond. The site was the former location of Armstrong High School and will be named "Armstrong Junction." Armstrong was the first public school in Richmond for African American students. The school moved several times since it's initial founding in 1867, but it was on the current site from 1952 - 1971. Richmond continues to have a strong alumni association of previous Armstrong students. The school colors were orange and blue. The logo will be used for marketing materials (lease up flyers, stationary, website) as well as neighborhood signage.
