Logo Design Brief

Need revamp of existing logo. Would like to keep basic design elements of the old but make bolder, simpler, and with fewer colors.
The previous logos (attached) are good but too much color and too much going on, especially in logo #2. We want a simpler, bolder, updated logo to reflect the serious work we do.
