Mascot Design Brief
We are looking for (3) different "heroic" mascots, one for each of the following software title categories:1. Facility scheduling software. The mascot's body should be based on a calendar page using orange as the main color.2. Work order software. The mascot's body should be based on a toolbox using green as the main color.3. Construction project administration software. The mascot's body should be based on a construction hard hat using blue as the main color. The primary market for all (3) mascots is K12 school districts but they may also be used in other markets such as higher ed or healthcare. There are two possible styles in which the characters could be rendered:1. Fun with personality using a fairly simple illustration style most likely with a flat (vs. modeled) design. (think SpongeBob but not as goofy)2. Heroic with more angular lines (think Marvel but not as edgy). These could be more modeled/3D.The mascots should be gender, race, and age-neutral.The mascots should all look heroic and strong vs. wimpy and weak. (See attached reference graphic.)We foresee having the mascots' torsos as the objects identified above but with arms/hands & feet/legs. Ideally, we'd like the final approved designs in Illustrator format with layers and groups for each body part for future manipulation. (See reference rough comp.)The mascots will primarily be used on our company's:1. Website both integrated into banner designs (see attached reference art) and as isolated spot art adjacent to product descriptions.2. Trade show materials such as banners3. Within the software product itself (on a very limited basis).Ideally, we would like to form an ongoing relationship with the selected graphic artist as we may need the selected characters in different poses. Finally, while this specific brief is for static mascot illustrations, the ability to eventually provide simple aminations of the mascots would be desirable although not necessary at this time.
