Do you have any preferences in style the character should be drawn? Any inspirational examples maybe?

Can you be little more specific about the age of character?

Sorry for this late response but I've only just seen your message. We are going to show the characters we receive to our age audience to get the 4-8 year old children to give feedback. Please have a look at the submissions so far and see what you could bring to make your design stand out. We, as the publishers, have our own preferences but we are not the target market. I look forward to your creative ideas.

The character is of an age to go out and have adventures in the wider world but please bear in the mind the readership target age. I hope that helps!

Sadly we, designers, cannot see other competitors submissions until the priject os over and the winner selected. That's why i asked for some examples of style :)

Really like what you submitted and it's interesting to see it B&W. Please could you give an idea of the palette you envision for this character.

It was just a sketch as i said in the description to my submission. I'm glad you like it! Then i'll redraw it as colored image with smooth lineart.
