Logo Design Brief

The Task:
Create a one-colour logo design for a new Australian plywood timber producer; Camphor Plywood Co.

The Product:
Traditionally known as a colourful, fragrant and pliable material for woodwork, Camphor Laurel hardwood timber has been re-imagined into a new and flexible plywood timber product. The production process sees a solid hardwood timber log peeled and glued into bonded plywood sheets; each with a unique depth of colour in their facing characteristics due to the individual knots and bows of each log. The finished product is a striking honey-coloured timber plywood sheet, with a fresh and pleasant camphor scent, and an attractive stacked glued edging. It will be sold in two sheet thicknesses; 9 and 18 mm.

• The logo should be a one-colour format; preferably a simple and clean design, which is also suitable for use in reverse i.e. inverted (white) on a solid-colour background. Please supply both one-colour and reverse (white) file versions, in .jpeg, .png. and .eps file formats.
