thank you for posting a project.
how would you like your logo created ?
simple, minimalist , abstract ?
font face as the ones you use on the site or just leave it to the designer?
color preferences ?

Solair,

I am open to ideas. It must scream "photography" somehow, and including the 1Ds in it somehow will help but is not totally essential. the 1Ds is a Canon Camera brand and is a central theme (I almost use all Canon gear)

The site itself is dark backgrounded (www.1ds.com) 

I am relaxed about the font. If there''s a cool one that is better then I am in it.

Colours are optional, but again, see the site and you''ll get how I like to present the photos on a dark background.

These famous sites have simple but recognisable logos. As for theme, my initial thoughts were around a camera (shaped like a canon 1ds) with the text "1Ds" inside. But I have been impressed with some of the other variants. I''ll look at anything really that says to me "photography".

As for text in the logo, that''s one approach. Other sites have a logo and text to the side or underneath.

Note the "1" must look like a 1 . Not sure I like the word "One" as a substitute for the character.

Depending on the Logo picked I might alter this image, but it''s a good assumption that the general feel of the background will be dark.
