Logo Design Brief

We are a tech company with base in Norway and UK, and we provide an online solution for event organizers to set up their event, get an online registration page, and receive participants and payments.
We are looking for a logo for our companies, www.deltager.no and www.participant.co.uk. The logo needs to have a symbol that can be used by both companies, but the text in the logo will always be one of the companies, not both names.
We have worked quite a bit with internal resources, and the initial though was to have a symbol that represents what we do - online registration and payment for events, to use in both Norway and the UK.
- We have decided that everything involving money or transactions (for example wallet, card, coins) is too old fashioned.
- We have tried different varieties with «p» and «d» combined, but without luck.
- We have also looked at other symbols without getting that «wow» feeling.
- What we need is a symbol that can be used stand alone, and with the company name as well. Attached are the two symbols that we have not ruled out, but if one of these are to be used, they need to be worked on. As you can see, the top one is a p or a d depending on how you tilt it, the other one is a combination of both d and p.
- We want to show that we are a tech company
- The logo colours are not set, but blue/turqoise, specifically 00a5b2 have been used before.
We are open to a better version of one of the two logos/symbols attached, and/or other suggestions if you feel you have a great idea!
