Business Card Design Brief

I need a business card to promote myself as an author.
I write mostly fantasy that includes some aspect of magic/mythology and science and/or politics, so I'd like the design to have a mystical, artistic feel, but also relatively clean and intelligent. No typical fantasy dragons, elves, fairies, but a touch of magic never hurt anyone.

Requirements

Nice to have

• Maybe a leafless, sprawling (and a bit spooky) tree design? I also like crow motifs, as it tends to give the mystical quality I'm looking for, though the bird should be very stylized if included. Crows are in no way mandatory and I'm hoping to see some other ideas also.
• Some element or hint of magic (fantasy magic, not rabbits coming out of hats!) Maybe some bit of swirling magic coming from 2 cupped hands? (just an idea)
• I do like colorful, though still professional.

Should not have

• Typical fantasy stuff - drags, elves, fairies, etc.
