Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for an trade magazine that deploys 6 times/year. Title of Magazine: UPSTREAM PUMPING SOLUTIONS. Tagline of Magazine should be incorporated into the design: TECHNOLOGY & SERVICES AT THE WELLHEAD.

The Goals of the Logo Redesign are:
1. Visually appeal to a MASCULINE audience primarily made up of engineers/project managers and operations/maintenance workers
2. Uphold the brand as the AUTHORITATIVE voice in the industry
3. Convey the essence of BOLD, STRONG & EXPENSIVE

We are looking for masculine without going 'NASCAR'. Image should be clean and easy to read. Scalable from business card size to banner size. Colors of the logo will likely change with each issue depending on the cover image used.
