Logo Design Brief

I am the owner of a new launching business and need help with logo development and design. We are an innovative swimwear company designed for men where we make suits (jacket, tie, and pants/shorts) made out of swimsuit material! It's like a board short, but it's for the water/pool/beach/etc. We already contracted a designer but are not happy with the current logo and are reaching out again to create something better. We want the design to be more simple and less busy. What we like about the current design is it portrays something fun and describes the brand, but we see many companies today where they have a seemingly irrelevant, simple design that allows for branding and growth (William Sonoma pineapple for instance..). I have attached a "vision board" To help you understand the product as well as the current logo that we have (and are dissatisfied with). Note: the pattern on the vision board is the original suit, and we will be printing the attached pattern instead. We would love to see a logo that is more simple, easier to print, allows for product expansion and growth, etc. There is also this hibiscus pattern that we bought the rights to that we are using for our initial launch pattern. I have attached this pattern if you wish to use it as well, as it will somewhat define the origins of our brand.
