DeRosa Aquatic Consulting is an education and training company specializing in aquatic safety and risk management. I help lifeguards and pool and beach managers to minimize risk and improve safety with the ultimate goal of saving lives. I work closely with lawyers to investigate aquatic injury and death cases and testify in court regarding drowning cases. I am looking for a logo for my company that appeals to lawyers and to swimming pool/beach managers. The logo should suggest: Reliability, Trustworthy, Authoritative, Established. There should be a unique blend of an aquatic safety theme with a legal theme. It must attract both lawyers and lifeguards / water rescue professionals. Designs incorporating the color blue are preferred. Emphasis should be on use of logo in social media applications primarily. Secondary uses include business stationary and marketing materials. I do not want a logo that looks like stock imagery (e.g. life ring, scales of justice). Attached document more fully explains project and provides links to similar groups and organizations. Thank you all so much for your work on this project.

Requirements
Must have
- Professional, simple feel. DeRosa Aquatics or DeRosa Aquatic Consulting should be in the logo. Must be easily used in social media (look good in Facebook/Twitter profile photo circles). Graphic must stand apart from words and be recognizable without text. Any graphic should combine aquatic profession with legal profession. Must relate to lawyers and aquatic professionals. Must look good in black and white / greyscale. Additional project info in uploaded document.
 - UPDATE: As this contest comes to a close, I'd like to thank each of the talented designers who have submitted and revised their designs. So many professional high quality designs came in that it is a challenge to choose just one for the company brand. I wish I could use multiple designs, but ultimately a company should have one consistent brand. So thank you again to everyone. Submissions will continue through Wednesday and my team hopes to have a final selection by Thursday/Friday. Again, thank you so much each and every one who participated.

Nice to have
- Modern and Clean look. Designer is free to consider colors, although blue is preferred as a main element given it's relationship to water. In designs with a graphic and text, I prefer to see graphic above text and an alternate version to left of any text. The graphic must be able to stand on its own without words.
 - REQUEST: Due to the volume of submissions, if one design is being represented in different ways (e.g. on paper, on a building, on a phone) it would be very helpful to have the various representations on one image submittal rather than 3 or 4 separate submittals. I understand this may not always be possible, but it is a preference and makes it easier to provide feedback without having to go into each project. Thank you.

Should not have
- The project should not look like stock or off the shelf graphics.
 - UPDATE: Please limit reds, greens and yellows in the design. I prefer blues, greys, blacks unless you feel an accent color is needed. (I don't want to limit your design, but I tend to not like designs with those colors).
 - UPDATE: In reviewing submittals, I'm finding that a police badge icon is typically not something that I am looking for as it sends a message of police enforcement rather than judicial review.
