Logo Design Brief
My business is located in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and provides quality coffee and tea service to businesses and government offices. Basically, customers purchase coffee, tea and related break room supplies and are provided free coffee brewers. Coffee makes up about 85% of our sales and tea 15%.
I need a logo that can be used for business cards, letterhead, brochures and web site use.
Our goal is to provide a great cup of coffee to our customers in their office setting.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: Dear Designers,
Thank you for your good efforts. This is my first project with Design Crowd and I am new to the process. Although I have found some promising designs with elements that I like, I have not quite found what I am looking for yet. I will need another week to review the designs and interact with the designers to finalize my decision. I trust that you will be patient with me.
Best regards,
Bruce

Dear Designers,
Thank you for your good efforts. Like most of you, I am a small business person trying to grow my business.
I want to give you some general feedback on what I am looking for at this stage.
- There are quite a few designs with two cups in them, one for coffee and one for tea. Although the business name is Capital Coffee & Tea, I am looking for simple clean designs with only one coffee cup. Most Americans are coffee drinkers and most of my business sales are coffee. I find that the two cup designs are too cluttered and not appealing to me. I would like to see a single coffee cup or hot beverage cup that could be either coffee or tea with a saucer underneath it.
- Also, I do not like the green tea leaf motifs or the coffee beans. This is not my style and seem to be distracting. Sorry.
- This logo will be placed on business cards, brochures, web site and on a delivery truck for advertising so I am looking clear simple designs and letter fonts that can be clearly seen and read within seconds. The truck will probably have a white, light brown, tan colored background and the logo design needs to consider this.
- Some of the logos over-emphasize the word Capital with large letters but under-emphasize the words Coffee & Tea making it difficult read. Remember that I am selling mostly coffee. Potential customers need to quickly see and understand that this business sells coffee. So many of the designs may need to increase the font size on Coffee & Tea and if necessary decrease the font size the word Capital.
- I do not wish to see anything attached to the letter fonts like coffee beans or tea leafs as I find this distracting. I apologize if this offend anyone but I am just being open with you about what I like.
- Although my brief mentioned the connection with the United States Capital Washington, D.C. I am finding this expectation makes the designs too cluttered, too. For those of you who tried in consider this into your designs, thank you for your efforts. I think I prefer a simple logo with distinct font and design.
- I would like to see some designs with the word Capital above a coffee cup and the words Coffee & Tea below the cup. I am trying to capture peoples attention with a design of a delicious cup of coffee with steam or aroma coming from the hot beverage. Also, I would like to see some horizontal designs - going from left to right - with a coffee cup and saucer followed by Capital on one line and the word Coffee & Tea beneath it.
- I prefer dark letter font's on a light background. I am looking for a logo that is crisp, clear and can be understood.
I hope this information helps you. I really appreciate you helping me out. Good luck.
Best regards,
Bruce
