Logo Design Brief

The company does commercial painting and wallcovering only. It is a new company that we just started and haven't done any business with yet. We are trying to obtain a logo that is noticeable so that when we put it on hard hats or stationary it will be more rememberable.
We haven't obtained any ideas for a logo but we would like the name of the company incorporated in the logo, we were thinking maybe the lettering to be black but are open to your ideas as well.
We would like to stay away from blue or orange colors on the logo.
