Graphic Design Brief
A community theatre group is looking for someone to design the background image for a poster that will be advertising our upcoming production of 1916 a play that has been written to commemorate the end of World War 1.
I wish the male to be in WWI uniform.
No wording can be on the graphic this will be added later by our team.
I have attached a rough sketch of an Idea I had for it; this idea has a Silhouette of a soldier facing his fiancé. The finance later becomes a nurse in the war. I am open to other designs.
Here is a synopsis of the play:
October 2916 in Glen Forrest and Midland Railway Workshops in Western Australia - the final month of the Australian referendum on Conscription. Should Australian men be made to go to war or should they be volunteers? A question that bitterly divides families, organisations and finally the whole country.
But people still dell in love, went to work, worried about their sons, brothers and husbands overseas, organised fetes and dressed up to go to the moving pictures in Midland.
Meanwhile, the great Adventure of World War 1 continued in Europe and the numbers of dead injured and missing grew day by day.
---
The play does not show the war side, instead reflects on the companionships and issues faced at home.
