T-shirt Design Brief

We are looking at redesigning the staff uniform shirt for AQWA.

We would like something subtle that has an indigenous feel to it and respectfully pays credit to their history of our land and oceans, must be vibrant in colour (without being tacky) something quite abstract and unique.

The problem with using images of actual fish is when the shirt is worn you cant make out what it is.

As an aquarium we have a strong connection and respect for the ocean so the shirt will have to reflect this.

We have just gone through a reband and market re positioning so the design must be in line with our feel (see website at www.aqwa.com.au)

I have attached a concept that we did like however felt it needed more colour and be a bit brighter. We like the blue background and the indigenous feel to the design but feel it is a bit flat. Needs something more to it. Please dont feel you have to copy this design but rather gives a idea of what we like.

Requirements

Must have

• Logo
• bright colours (not tacky though)
• have an 'ocean' and 'marine' theme.
• gender neutral design

Nice to have

• something 'arty' and creative while still remaining practical
• relative to the ocean

Should not have

• not use actual images
• not be dark in colour or design
